19/10/2020 The UK Government made the announcement back on 24th May of a new £50 Million “Re-opening Highstreets Safely Fund” which has been provided by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) intended to help councils all over England become “Covid Secure” and welcome people back into their local communities, in turn, supporting countless small businesses.
Dorset Council wasted no time looking for a rugged, touch free, hand sanitiser stations that could operate effectively both inside and out. Quickly it became clear that Gelpole exclusively distributed buy Global Protection Supplies, was the answer. Not least because Global Protection Supplies offer a bespoke signage option which would allow Dorset Council to tailor their stations to the local community.
Another factor was the flexibility that Gelpole provided being able to deliver both high quality 70% alcohol gel, as well as non-alcohol based sanitiser, which was a particular requirement for Dorset Council, as they favoured the non-alcohol alternative.
Fifty-Five of the prominent sanitiser dispenser units have been strategically placed in key locations across the Dorset Council district and bear the “Stay Local, Shop Local” slogan further encouraging people to support their local communities at this time. The touchless dispensers are operated by a foot pedal and dispense a high quality non-alcohol based foaming sanitiser.
“We were keen to ensure the hand santiser units were suitable for outdoor and indoor use, had the ability to dispense foam sanitiser and the flexibility to display bespoke signage. GPS were extremely supportive, providing just the right solutions to meet our criteria, and we’re very impressed with the end quality of the product.” Kerry Carpenter, Dorset Council.
Hamble based Global Protection Supplies are thrilled to be working with their local councils in supporting such initiatives and have now supplied the Civic Centre, Library, Art Gallery and Crematorium with the innovative sanitiser dispensers.
“It’s really great to be able to help Dorset Council to unlock some of this funding and to be able to support everyone getting back to their local high streets as safely as possible. We really enjoyed helping Dorset Council to shape their vison for a bespoke signage option and the units look great out there.” Commented Lloyd Russell, Managing Director of Global Protection Supplies.
